Self threading bolts

I am looking for self threading / self tapping bolts around M8 - M10 in size. I have seen them before but I can’t find any for sale. We got a roller door installed and the fitters had a bunch of them for bolting the runners into the RSJ’s on our shed.

The type I have seen look like a normal M10 bolt but the shank is slightly triangular rather than round. The idea being you drill a pilot hole and then screw the bolt into the hole, and it cuts a thread into the hole.

Anyway, if someone could point me to a website or give me the correct name of these I would be much obliged. Local engineering supplier has never heard of them either.

Yes that's bringing up a few more useful results... Taptite seems to be the name of what I'm after

Tek-screws should do that.

Haven't seen Tek Screws in M8 or M10 before

Perfect that's just them, never heard of Taptite before cheers!!
