Long term will always regret selling. Never know what future might hold with family etc. If can get away with financing without sale then keep it. Might be a struggle but in 10/20 years be thankful.
Was never said by the person who over extended themselves and went bust
Oh yeh you tend not to hear much from them do you!

We had a very basic cottage that was just the corner of the square where grandad lived (former calf pens), We did it up for rental but had a couple of dodgy tenants who ended up costing almost as much to get rid of as they ever brought in, even though they were supposedly checked through an agent. We ended up doing holiday lets, which gave a cleaning job to a family member and has provided a very nice little income over the years.
Conversely, dad let our 1980s cowman (who was with my sister at the time( build a bungalow next door after letting him have a free plot and he is now a Victor Meldrew style nightmare, trying to stop us carrying out any development in our former buildings having become obsessed with his property value. So I would be careful of selling.

Plus the only way to keep your view is to own it. There are better ways to invest in property than owning it and having all the hassle. Holiday let through an agency is a good idea. I used to think BTL was a good idea but you might as well just buy a REIT and let someone else fix the boiler.
