How are people finding it. Been on the dead for 10years but finding it hard going in Merthyr at the moment. Got some biggish heifers up to 700 kg. Be a -u on a good day. Good meat. Would they do 2pound a kilo. I know they weigh them hard. But just wondering are we better off than 315 on the dead.

The more of you that start going to ludlow the better the trade will get in the end. Lets hope you all wake up and see the firms do not have your best interests at heart.

How do you value your time? It'd be a fair trek for you up to Ludlow?

at least with a mkt you can take them home, the dead, you take what they give you, easiest thing, try a few.

Took all our fat cattle to Ludlow but seriously thinking of other options. My only other option of liveweight is Ross on Wye but that appears to be winding down. It is becoming an option to get them fat then put inHFD stores as there are a few 'fat ' buyers who now stop for the whole of the sale instead of just the cull cows and they are buying straight to kill as seen last Thurs . Got to decide soon but I can't stomach Ludlow much more .

Wasn't so much of a moan as personal observation. I did also say anything fat or near fat was wanted..... I think I said that ! but your right about the TB risk .
