We’ve sold at £10/bale previously and chap did all the work. One guy made the biggest 6 string bales you’ve ever seen to get a bargain but they were way too wet and couldn’t pick them up so didn’t work out too well for him then. Looks like plenty of forage in south west now so prices won’t set records this year.

we've about 15 horses...ours + paying guests....i've given up supplying them.....just make my 'july dry gut fill' which my ewes do well on.....last winter i got 'raided' for some horse hay....nags liked mine just as much as anything
the other rule with nag hay is that a bale 'thats nowhere good enough' in september magically becomes 'oh lovely yes please' in the new year

For the last few years I’ve sold standing gras at £10/bale, with them doing all the work (heavy Fusion bales), and this year have agreed on £12, to cover nutrient offtake.
He chooses when he cuts/bales it, but we both generally look for lighter, better quality cuts rather than ‘suckler cow filler’.
I get surplus grass removed without losing money on baling it for sale, and sheep worms taken away foc. He gets rocket fuel silage for his milkers without having his leg lifted. Works well for both parties I think.

It needs to be at least £50/bale. told her it was £50 , oh i been getting it for £30 , but he has run out , ..and .?
, think she got message , and one whos horse started biting roll top on pick up , and cracked it and then scraped its teeth across bonnet ,
that is an interesting insurance claim ,cost £230 to put right ,and no claims 250 ,but principle of it ,
got the bill tomover a £1000 now with pick up hire , etc , its making her sqweal now , as she said her horse did not do it even she got cctv ,and insurance dealing with it ,she not happy about it as i stuck pichfork into her horse when it was doing it ,
