Selling in agriculture.

A number of local contracting companies to me are doing similar to what you've mentioned. It probably suits them well as they are:
Already a good sized company with turnover
Trusted by the local farmers
Always on the phone
Have truck/loader/shed space for product handling and delivery

I'd get a far better deal on say a drum of glyph or fodderbeet spray, chainsaw chain etc, than the retailers with higher overheads.
Your idea has merit!!

Hey Kev or Pete do you export? I'm keen on a dozen Uzis at a realistic price.

Or imagine buying very special Pringles for 50p (cornering the market with your expertise for very special pringles in your area) selling the Pringles to your Pringle loving neighbours direct from Mr Pringle for 80p (making 30p) and never actually having to handle the Prinlges.

Pringles = silage covers .....for example:D

What stops you buying the Pringles direct from mr Pringle?

Any decent orders will end up going direct and the small bits would be left with the agent.

Reading between the lines, you're looking to increase your sales with agents around the country.

Works fine as long as everyone is using the same price (for similar areas). The agent would have to have a bite of your margin rather than taking money over the top. You balance that decrease in margin with an increase in sales.
