selling machinery abroad and not charging vat

You must have their VAT number and check it on the EU Vat Checker Service to make sure the address and VAT No. they give you is there's and not someone else's, or you will have to pay the vat lost - so if they do not have a VAT No. you must charge them vat.

When the vehicle calls to collect your goods (if it is hauling to Poland) he will have some blank CMR Forms to fill in, duly signed by you and the driver showing description of vehicle, serial no, new or used, where and date of collection, delivery address and name of buyer , weight etc, so this is your proof the machine has gone to export. (Different system when exporting to non eu countries - where Export Shipping Documents are given to you after the ship has sailed, - you need a shipping agent in theses cases.
