Probably going to regret it but I have no time to investigate the gears before I need it for hay making. Lovely machine , full history.

What are they like like in the cab- are they as quiet as a modern tractor?
From what I remember yes, I drove one as a harvest student in 1991 it was great to drive we had CB radio s and could hear each other no problem. Hitching a trailer on wasn’t as easy as tractor but you soon learnt esp if combine needed emptying ..,

Far better with the MB Trac 1000 as you have a Merc straight 6 to listen to which is very satisfying when your going up the gears with a heavy load.Both mine have aircon fitted but I think that was an option at the time.
