"Send a tonne" - Just giving campaign for Ukraine

I have not read all the above. But is there any way we as farmers could support farmers in Ukraine by all of us donating £1/ ton of estimated yields of wheat and barley and £1/cattle sold. Put this money in a fund that is used by the equivalent of the NFU to support farmers.

Don't know how to do this but any ideas welcome. Don't know if nfu could help.

With Gift aid and match funding we are near £40,000 raised so far

Thanks to everyone who has contributed and shared on social media

Let's keep going though, things are getting worse for the people of the Ukraine

Stupid question....

If I donate from my business can I gift aid it? As I havnt paid tax on it yet?
No, gift aid has to be on a personal donation where income tax has been paid. You should be careful claiming gift aid on any donation if you do not pay a lot of tax as they will come back for it if you have claimed more than you have paid.
