A company I deal with have done just that

Here’s their statement as to why

Many jobs will be lost in uk [emoji636] and those lost uk jobs will provide a boost to EU employees

You couldn’t make it up

The current government is the most incompetent administration in history

The worst performance in a global pandemic per head, coupled with the worst (non existent) trade deal with the largest neighbouring trading bloc in the world and then setting up the pathway (by default) for a united Ireland and complete devolution of Wales and Scotland because they are so fed up with Westminster and the ineffective Tories

Well if you voted Tory in December 2019, I hope you are pleased with yourselves and the catastrophe you have created

Ah, go on, go on, go on. Even the most devout leavers on here, need to acknowledge the Brexit game is up ....

Th Uk is in for the long haul to see the true benefit. Mr Rees Mogg told about 50 years. Rather bemusing the majority of posters on here, according to Mr Rees Mogg, will never see the benefits. Rule Brittania. Chuckle.

The downside is of course trade. That was obvious when you withdraw from a customs Union. Personally that’s a pain as far as I am concerned. However and this is not a sovereignty thing that others bang on about, being “governed” more and more by Brussels is IMHO a road to big problems in years to come. So we are out of that now and have to get on and make the best of it. Rattling on saying “I told you so” every time a snipet of news comes out isn’t helpful. Interesting that Brexit has and is so divisive and now we see similar things for different reasons in USA. In fact in many countries the voice of opposition seems to be noisier than in the past

MH. I appreciate your sense of balance and moderation. But it is important to hold our politicians for account. Why - well not always to score points, though I appreciate that is how such actions will appear and be reported and considered by 'the other side'. No, they must be held to account as they will make future decisions. And thus where something happens that turns out different to what was forecast or is reported at the time we have a duty to challenge as how can we trust what they are doing today. Brushing these things under the carpet leads to future failures.

I quite agree. In a good democracy needs a strong opposition to hold the government to account. Right now we have a wishy washy opposition badly wounded at the last election due I guess to an unelectable leader.

Thinking how you move forward, imo, you need to see why it went wrong in the past.
You said, that you can’t sell uk farm machinery because there isn’t any. Now, I’ve heard lots of complaints (not from you) that all uk woes are down to the EU, including the demise of uk industry.
Well, if I accept that, why is it I easily run my farm on machinery still manufacturered in France, Germany and Italy when they have all been members for a lot longer than the U.K.?

Happy Sunday, still working with the cattle🤷‍♂️

“Repetition”.
Takes me back to classic 1970’s “just a minute “👍

Mind, we’d all be taken to account for “déviation »🤪
