As above, despite fiddling around with them poxy things just block up with any amount of trash. What’s rule of thumb for setting them up. Only 2 things to alter? Distance from skim side to side and depth? Every plough I’ve had end up throwing them off, would prefer to have them on new to me plough but they will go same way if I can’t get them to run better....

Take all the middle ones out and leave the back one to cut the furrow wall clean ,,skimmers will deal with the trash better

No middle ones. Just the back one. Serrated dowdeswell one so surprised it stalls.

Set them about 3-4 inch deep
If they're blocking they aren't deep enough , should run parallel to travel

I've seen me running them at skimming depth and almost at ploughing depth, it's trial and error and all depends on the land and the trash levels. Sharpening them makes a big difference if there's a lot of grass.
They swivel freely so always run parallel....
I won’t be sharpening them regularly so if I can’t sort them I bc will throw them off.....

They only need to be sharp in thick grass and you'll plough for a week before they need sharpened again. It's quick to do once you getting them spinning with the grinder.

Just noticed serrated discs, they wouldn't be so quick and easy to sharpen

2 inches deep and 1 inch wide of the point. if you are blocking, probably your skims are too deep

Back furrow landslide(or slipes) or as I've known them looks short ,the dp7 we had had a longer ones and the back furrow and the breast had a stay rod bolted to it at the end to componsate for the sideways pressure,,turn the skimmers out on the arms by an inch proud of the leg , stops the rubbish hanging round the leg ,,the skeaths can then run against the skimmer point ,,if should run clean then

As deep as they will go without touching the disc mounting or/disc axle whichever is nearest the ground. We used to set them two fingers at the closest point to the shin.
Skims are in just enough to bury everything....
It was just barley volunteers and and chopped straw to bung it up.
