Setting up case 372 with Dcm 300

Hi,

I've been collecting used parts to autosteer a case tractor I've had for a couple of years, got the autosteer working nicely on egnos and have just fitted the modem to go to rtk.

I have installed a pay as you go sim and found all the relevant settings from the internet for 02 and that side seems to be working ok but my power led is blinking quickly all the time which the manual says means it isn't getting gps signal and to check the receiver is rtk unlocked, the wiring is good and the receiver is set to output certain signals. My harness is new and I bought the receiver as rtk unlocked but I don't know how to check for sure, I read that if it wasn't I wouldn't be able to select rtk for correction source but I'm not sure. I also figured that because I'm using a case screen if I set it up for rtk in there that would give the receiver all the right settings to communicate with the modem.

I also cannot find a wifi network with the correct name for the modem, I have a network which comes and goes with power but it is named and pass worded differently than the manual suggests, is it possible the previous owner changed it? Leaves me not able to log in to see what the modem is actually doing..

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Matt

Yes sir,

I think, but I'm not sure that I have it set up correctly and my n trip settings are no good and the no GPS signal leds actually refers to no GPS signal on the cellular network not no GPS signal from the 372 receiver? Can any body confirm this? These n trip settings also won't work on another tractor which I know is set up correctly.

Which brings me to my next question

I have a base station coming and plan to broadcast my own ntrip using rtk2go. Range was always the issue for me with radio rtk and 4 subs per yr are a bit steep so when I found out I could do that I bit the bullet. I don't have my base working yet but have been trying to connect to my closest base on rtk2go.
It's over 89 miles away but I wanted to try to prove the concept but it won't work, I have verified all the settings with the support email and they're good, my tractors tell me I have 3g but won't connect to ntrip.
Is there something in there that means it won't work at that range? Or am I missing something? I don't really want to set my base up and then find I can't make it work.

Thanks

No

As I think I mentioned in my first post the manual suggests I should find a WiFi network named Trimble then the serial number, I don't, I get one called mot which cones and goes with the power so presume that's it, unless I take it out of the yard I can't be 110 percent, this means the standard password is wrong also.
Is there another way to access it?

Pro 300

Yes I can access all the settings, ip, port, mountpoint etc, also gprs pin, and the others I can't remember, there is also a simulation of the old yellow Trimble receiver screens in the diagnostics tab which allows me to check everything, I can't remember the exact wording but it suggests the modem is trying to login to something then fails, I could get the exact wording later if it matters. Since the status leds suggest I have gprs connected I'm guessing it means log in to the ntrip server, this was what my fendts wouldn't do.

Thanks

If the base is 89 miles (143 km) away from you it might be that the receiver is just unable to get a RTK fix. Might get a fix every now and then but would not for sure be "sub inch".

Correct but I understood that the issue is the modem not receiving any RTK correction data if even able to log in to an NTRIP server. Reception of correction data should work from anywhere in the world even if the signal was not useful for RTK fix.

I have understood from your post that you can control/configure the modem NTRIP settings from your display ok
So display and modem talk and understand each other?

The next thing I would check:: can you get a correction steam to start streaming with your username + password..
U could use Lefebure NTRIP client with "no receiver test only" on Android or Lefebure Windows client on your office computer (from www.lefebure.com) to test that.

NTRIP casters will give you the steam list to anybody, but you will have to have a valid username + password to start a steam.
Give me a private mail if you you would like to get a temporary username + password to my own SNIP-NTRIP caster for testing. Far away from you but on same continent.

I use android devices with free Lefebure NTRIP client (on phone/ tablet) plus blue tooth dongle to get the correction steam to the RTK receiver/display. Works well and does not cost a fortune.

Can you stream CMR or CMR+ from your caster?
