Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of the model of grammer seat used in the original SG2 cabs please? The one I've got has the ID sticker illegible and would like to get some new cushions for it as the old ones are shot. Thinking about a new seat also but don't want to spend a fortune! Thanks in advance.

@Tractortech many thanks- I'll have a look and see what I can find. One further question if I may please? The foot brake on my 3040 is very hard- when applied it seems like all or nothing. If stamped on hard then the brakes take a few seconds to release fully. Have you any ideas what this may be? I was thinking that the pins in the pedal may be partially seized? Thanks again

No, they never seize,,,,, unless you have no glass in & it's been parked outside for years!!
At a guess I'd say the discs have gone hard. New brake discs, piston seals and new oil should cure it..
You'll soon whip the dash cover off to check the pedal pivot anyhows!!

Ah thanks, much appreciated! Looking at the tractor, can the cab be jacked enough to let the axle trumpets away or does it have to come off completely?

Yes, it lifts up enough. However if I recall correctly, the cab mounting bolt is a stud in the axle with a nut on top?? This will have to be unscrewed so you don't have to lift the cab so high. Also, remove all the other linkages,,,,, or else!!!! :-(..

I had a problem with a 3140 I had, years ago, where the brakes would come on very hard and hang on for a while.
It eventually knackered the brakes.
It turned out to be some valve or something in the master cylinder, causing the problem

I was going to put genuine Deere new seat cushions in my 3050, I priced them up only last week and at something like £250 for the pair I've changed my mind !.
However if you have a look on fleabay for grammar 85/90 seat there's a chap doing a pair of black cushions for about 80 quid !.
