Sh40 flywheel hub

I've got a fairly elderly sh40h the flywheel has got a fair bit of play on it now, pretty much to the point that it very difficult to set up the blades. I have got away with greasing the centre before which helps a bit but its got to the point where I'm going to have to do something!

I'm assuming the splines on the shaft and in the hub collar have worn, has anyone got any bright ideas how to sort it out?

A shaft and collar where pretty dear last time I asked, and I'm not sure its was for a sh40h anyway, the shafts are different between reverse drive and trailed.

I have a even older one I'm pulling the bits out off so will try and put up pictures when I've got it out!

Cheers

Here is the offending item, I fear could be a lost cause, its only worn where it operates, the splines need building and remachining but it is pretty hard.

Anyone know someone really hot on mengle parts?

It all comes apart ok, its had a lot of grease! Just wondered if the wobble can be sorted with out a new hub and shaft?

Hoped someone might have already done it

Your not wrong, the one I've stripped out is marginally better than the one in my actual forager but not much.

Am I correct in thinking the shafts are different between the mounted and trailed? Any idea who might have a pair!

Cheers

I thought as much, have mislaid my parts book so couldn't be sure, I need to get a micrometer on the shaft (also mislaid ) but I've a feeling most of the wear is in the hub?

If I could find a new hub that might keep it happy for a few more years.
