Think Jim is living somewhere south of Stonehaven now, although I'm not sure where he is from originally - suspect that @Bossfarmer or @davieh3350 could narrow it down a bit more - Blairgowrie maybe?

It's a good job he's not from upper Deeside - Aboyne and further west. Even I would struggle to understand him. Heaven knows how the Queen manages when she goes on a pub crawl when she's in residence at Balmoral
