That's about the amount the robbish Irish would give you
Rang the wool board the other day to ask them to release last years balance as I'm storing this years till next time. Fella told me the job is picking up fast. Much faster than expected. At their last auction the 2 big Chinese firms were going full bore and resulted in full clearance and much better prices than predicted. Suggested I wait until October/November before making decision. Ring again then and he'll let me know best avenue available. Said that the other firms offering 20ppk would be miles out by autumn. ? Who knows? But I'm willing to wait and see!

Not sure, didn't ask. Think he meant average price. I heard one of my mates moaning the other day he's sent his ti Irish firm (don't know which one) some at 5p, rest 20 odd. Was told not too bring his hill bred wool. I gave him a bottle of bells whiskey for it and it's on my loft in BWMB sheets now. See how many years I need too store it too recoup my investment! ?

Selling the cream and then leaving the crap for the BWMB is just about the worst thing you can do to undermine the market.

If you're doing 20-30 working alone, you're doing very well!

Keeping them coming and rolling/packing on your own is not pleasant. I'm happy if I'm doing 20/hr like that...

Don't think I've ever hit 40/hr but I can do mid/high 30's. 2 of us in very good shearing can do 90-100 in about 1hr 15

A mob of 200 is a big day, though. I'd quite like to test myself on a full day just to see what sort of tally I'm capable of
I'll let you know when I've got them shut in. I'll even chase up and roll fleeces for you.

Had some fun today on good shearing ewes, 185 out in the first run. Farmer was getting a bit stressed tho.
If it was proper gang rules we would still be there now drinking all the beers from the sheepo and wool-away shouts!!
Was it a proper run of 2 hours or a scottish run of go until we are a bit tired and stop for a piece.?
