Shearing 2022

I'd rather shear monster mules that 3/4 bulldog's aka texel crosses.

Do you put a blow in off the brisket just to break open the tightness at the base of the neck. Then do the blow as far as you can up the neck, and the second blow up the neck before opening up, or just do what your doing.

Tex crosses are piece of pee. Today's were bigger and poorer necks. He's on high ground and his mules will be 80-90kg average easily and ready to go in the cull ring condition wise - raising twins... I would hate to see his feed bill!!

Tried the necks all ways. Not sure why they're so tight this year - his ewes are good shearing otherwise. I just spend my time wishing I was shearing more of my own ewes...

Got half done yesterday. Had a heavy thundery shower yesterday afternoon, was dry for a few hours last night so got the rest in before it started to rain. Be nice to see them finished and be able to save some petrol

Thought I'd finished shearing my flock last week. Driving down the hill towards the farm I spotted 3 white blobs in my landlords horse field that's knee high in buttercups.
Caught the escapees and sheared them today, the last one was the worst one I've done in the whole flock it just wanted to fight. Big Welsh shearling. Managed to twist my foot and am now limping painfully. Sprayed with a big C and it doesn't stand for cull.

Hi All
I will be finished shearing at the end of this week. Is there anyone needing a hand for the rest of the season? I can travel anywhere but need accomodation. I can shear 200+ a day
