Shearing cost

Aye, but I'm not even a contractor. I just shear with a friend and we do both farms between us. Usually just chip off batches of 140-150 a day.

One fella won't even tell me how many he has to do, but expected me to just drop things and do his today (and it's raining here now), so I'm not even considering. Another farm I owe a few days labour, so have said I will do theirs once ours are done... but I reckon the shearers' will get to him before I do at this rate.

Shearing in the evening is nice, but nobody wants to help at that time of day

For some reason i decided to bring in 100 hoggs before i had my tea last night i never got in until 11.30pm:dead:. So i feel your pain. @Nithsdale Farmer .
Thought it was just me at that shite. 200 of my own still to do and its looking like everyone else is gonna get done before mine. If i dont answer the phone during the day there is an endless amount of local guys who like to call when you are sitting down with your dinner. That carry on does not speed up me or anyone else up. God i love impatient farmers. Glad my sheep are patient cos its gonna be a wee while yet
