Shearing machines/set ups

hi All, have been shearing a few our own sheep with a cordless set of clippers but it gets too warm and its too big and bulky which is obviously why it’s not made for clipping more than a few. Im after a full set up, doesn’t have to be anything special but also want something decent and reliable. Does anyone have any recommendations?

thanks

Horner XT here, strong basic machine, plenty of power. Used to clip the lot (350) with an old lister untill it expired. Few less now, but Horners good for all apps. Quick prompt service as well.

When you're not shearing you can run about and pretend to be a Ghostbuster 😂

You can't beat a hang up machine for anything more than a few.

If the OP can get a recon machine at reasonable price it's a good buy - but some of the prices on those older machines push me to think I'd buy new, when you compare them

Used a lister nova and a longhorn 3.2 for years. Now it’s only me that shears when the nova went pop and we traded them both in at horners for a Longhorn 3.5 with flexi drive. Absolutely brilliant machine, always got loads of electric fence batteries about so never short of a charged one. Keep a Horner Razer for dagging, clipping cattle and shearing oddments.

this is a very versatile and useful tool.
Mines forever breaking down, don't know if I can be bothered getting it fixed again
