Got a couple of frames to make for a small shed, quite confident in general fabrication but wandering what the easiest way of calculating steel length size I need to tell the steel merchants to cut them too.

or use a tape and measure your gap you want to span, a simple plan and gcse maths should be able to work it out

Take the width. Minus legs and endplates. Divide in 2 then divide by cos 15. Assuming it's 15 degrees. If not by the degrees it is.
