You'll struggle to beat this book if you want something really in depth.
It is a kiwi book, but covers all the usual stuff over here.
The mineral section is particularly good

What’s the best from that lot? We use the Bible (vet book for sheep farmers) it’s shame it’s outdated on some things though. Also have “sheep health, husbandry and disease by Agnes winter and Claire Phythian” but it is no where near as good and it’s very very basic and doesn’t cover a lot of topics..

I’m not going to claim I’ve read them all, but they all have been skimmed. I’d probably chose Henderson too, but both Haynes and Eunson are worth a read - for differing reasons. Straiton was a present but not yet got into it in depth.

To be honest, I tend to use google these days - it’s always in my pocket, and doesn’t go out of date.

Anything by Agnes Winter will be worth reading.

As above for recommendations, but Eddie Straiton's book is a good starter, albeit dated.

I was generally nose stuck into a Black's Veterinary Dictionary, too.

Advice bound too change over the years , as developments research knowledge etc moves on

Iirc in the TV vet book barley feeding is not a good call, (well I suppose first basic look that might be fair comment ) whereas it is a darn good sense source of energy and common place in use these days in different ways.
Also a page or 2 on regular (or otherwise ) foot trimming as well.........

All good for reference tho and practical with it.

I bought a copy of the Vet book for sheep farmers a decade or so ago. I was younger and keener, and did read a good bit of it, but it's sat on the shelf untouched ever since. To be honest, most of it was outdated then, and even more so now. Internet searches are a much more valuable resource now, and would always be my 'go to' for anything weird and wonderful.
