One rep told me of a customer with 150 sheep who buys enough dip to do 10,000. Think there's a few other people without certificates. 🤫
Maybe he goes round farms letting sheep out of draining pens and drinking tea

I would just point out that I carry a pocket diary everywhere in my back pocket. On the back few pages are all the numbers and things that I need all the time:
Dip 5/6/95
Transport 13/12/02
Spray 13/5/15
FA
NFSCo
CRN
There is a separate double page dedicated to holding numbers, flock numbers and postcodes of the 7 different patches that I have an interest in.
In 95 the test was all paper and pencil. One farmer in the cwm organised it in his kitchen and we all met there to do the exam together. By 02 the transport exam was online.

I’m in the same position as you, having done it when we were first forced to, but now lost it.
I did hear that you can get a replacement, but the charge for doing so was astronomical.

I’m considering redoing the course, which is 80% funded through Farming Connect in Wales, so much cheaper than getting a replacement.
Alternatively, buy any dip in someone else’s number….

When the need for certificates came into force, there was ( or still is ) a carrot spray that was basically the same stuff. Our old rep said at the time he'd sold enough to spray 20,000 acres of carrots which was a fair achievement for mid Wales.
I know a guy who plants over 2,000 acre of potatoes as he has a PA4G license on his certificate to use granular insecticides 👍🏻🤣

I’m thinking the same, not because I want to dip but because it’s 80% funded 🤣

Same here, but I might need to one day, and the certificate would still be valid (& cheap).

I was talking to one of the trainers recently, and it doesn’t involve physically dipping sheep either, so handy job for a rainy day in November?
