@scholland did you get on ok with the swing gate? Are you still using 2no, 18" spreader joined together or have you made one to suit?
Sorry for late reply I haven't been on here much.
I bolted 2 x 18 inch spreaders together to make w spreaders.
I also made a gate for the middle part too.

Meant to pick up a few lengths of 1" box at mole valley today to weld some centres in my 3ft race spacers to try this idea, running in to my clamp........

But forgot the hacksaw (to fit the length in my car).....

&forgot a tape measure :facepalm::facepalm:

Just have to amuse my self building my pnumatic huntaway :nailbiting::eek:
How did the pneumatic huntaway go??

Exactly dave ye.
I've been onto Rappa to make a double race set up but they're not biting.
Great for scanning, shearing, shedding, filling clamp etc.

Grant funded rappa just landed here so already looking at what extra's I might like,
Getting sheep flowing into the tepari is a challenge at times so following the double file race idea with interest.

Was interested in the double drench race, but rappa talked me out of it, saying that its really only any good if theres two of you actually dosing.
So will probably look at a longer single drench race (i have a 36ft single drench race on the main yard system which is ace)

Haha! Well quite of worked, but only really required if I'm working alone, but if I'm using the tepari, I've nearly always got help from dad or my wife.

Simple version was just a long air hose with a blow gun, just use it to make nose and blow air (from.a distance at sheep, moves them!

Complex version, using 2 spare air outputs on the tepair and a dpare 2 way switch, rigged pipes going back along the race to various nozzles to make nose, kind of worked, but the nozzles need to be louder and possibly have some moving like ribbons

Yeah, but if I'm working alone, the drench race is miles faster and easier.

Tepari needs 2 people or a good dog that isn't scared of compressed air.

Also tepari has to be packed away for 2 months of the year when the sheds are needed for lambing, where as the drench race is a separate system elses where, where its not practical to set the tepari up

it must be heart breaking to pack away the te pari!

Could you put something directed into the legs? I think some rotary parlours use air to get them to back off

Thank you @scholland was trying to see if a 33” gate and spreader would work if we split it in the middle. But I expect it will be too tight. That middle gate looks spot on ?

Some Dukes of Hazzard air horns perhaps?

The see through gate making the ewes feel like they're always next to their mate has really improved things.

It would also be good if it was width adjustable but that's quite a bit more to make. Until Rappa wake up to the opportunity!
