Apparently seed yield is very poorProb because people having to sow it twice cos it's failed first time !
ah okay that explains it!If you want to grow a crop on a grassland farm you first have to stop the grass growing and find some soil , I said it was expensive
How much is seed with you? £3.22 I paid the other day for DelilahApparently seed yield is very poor
I've been told to that by quite a few
Around that yes , depends how much and where to , I've go 6 drops in Hereford tomorrow so plenty of demandHow much is seed with you? £3.22 I paid the other day for Delilah

Unless it’s £6/acre? My price was delivered tooI heard a local man is selling it at £6/kilo, but he was always has worn a mask.
Any prices on green globe?
Planted some end of June but needed this rain .A bit late for Green Globe now isn’t it?
Several places were sold out of it weeks ago I think, but whether there is any new crop now…
End of August for Stubble TurnipsHow late can you grow stubbles, and which variety is best for late sowing? Got a bit of ground that will be available late August and wonder about trying something before it goes back to grass next spring.

If I can get our spuds of and it's not to wet I will put Westerwolds in , you could put some brasicas in with that , will give me some grass over the winter and spring then I will drill a long term ley into thatDoes that still apply at 700feet and with shorter days? Would kale or rape do a job later? Would be following tatties but they’re very slow this year.
Why not sow grass , be ok until mid September
Just fancy trying something different for an experiment - could maybe finish a lamb or two on it for ourselves . It’s just a tiny corner but fenced off and next to run back & water.

Probably too small an area to drill - I’m meaning literally a lamb or two. It’s only the household spud garden, so not even a quarter acre. That’s why I wondered about stubbles.
Nothing much to lose then , Stubble Turnips seem more robust than Rape thoughProbably too small an area to drill - I’m meaning literally a lamb or two. It’s only the household spud garden, so not even a quarter acre. That’s why I wondered about stubbles.
