What apps are people using for recording movements/sheep treatments/ lambing time data etc...

Currently use a diary but pages have got a bit damp and made me think iv my phone on me more than the diary so might be better using an app off some kind?

Agriwebb, incredible app doing so much more than just sheep and field records. Not sure if I’ll be able to keep up at lambing time with it so the diaries are still in use to know what numbers are next, how many left to lamb in each field etc and probably update the app every so often. All workers are linked in on it so they can all find out on their phones how many ewes are in each field (some field’s have a lot of scrub/gorse you could take ages to walk around)

What does it cost? I can’t find an actual price on there website just a 14 day free trial which is pointless doing if the cost is going too be £20 a month [emoji23]

It’s certainly a lot more than that! More than £1/day I think it worked out at.
@CampbellMauchan is the man to ask.

@Muddyroads hasn’t long started using it, personally I would find it hard to not have it now and yet there are still Large parts of the app and Desktop version which I still havnt discovered yet!

Not sure I could even get close to justifying £1 a day on 300 ewes sadly

It does look a really good bit of software, but at the mo, having to use a stick reader for the EID aspect would mean I'm out,
If they could sort it so a psion/ stockrecorder can download to the desktop version, then we're talking.
Just can't get on with the stick reader I've got- mainly the constant having to reconnect to the phone.

Very impressed with what I’ve seen and used of the AgriWebb system so far. Too busy to have set it up fully yet, but the fact I can put field records on there as well as grazing etc. tipped the balance for me. I needed to improve my record keeping for the Soil Association as well as cross compliance and this way I can do it on the move.
We use Shearwell too, and I agree with @exmoor dave that its very frustrating when the stick reader loses connection with the phone. They still seem to be some way off cloud storage too, which means continually having to sync to the laptop. It seems a shame to have to run 2 systems but they each do different things. Price was less than £1/ day.

Will agriwebb not do all farmworks does?

I believe this is the best sheep management app that money can buy;

I’m not too familiar with farmworks to be honest, but got the impression they were more arable focused, whereas AgriWebb is more livestock based. Could well be wrong though.

Farmworks is completely livestock, I don't think there's any arable on there.

The only problem with the shearwell stock recorder is that it has to be uploaded to a laptop, the app too has to go via laptop.

But I have to say the stock recorder as the main data gather- either directly imputted on it or drawing from a weigh head and panel reader, does work really well..... esp on a wet day in the sheep race

When you say it has too be uploaded too a laptop what do you mean? It doesn’t store the data ?
Iv not got a stick reader I just take tags down by hand and just looking too keep my records electronically rather than a damp old diary.... ideally for free but will pay an app if it’s not too expensive.... there’s a lot of free apps or free apps with premium upgrades on the App Store but don’t want too get one and enter all my data from lambing too realise it’s bloody useless and Iv wasted half a day ??‍♂️

you can 'manage' sheep

Yes!!
There's an app, I think it's called, to manage sheep.

The best one is branded Border Collie. UK made. Its very user friendly and operator orientated.

There a few inferior foreign versions - Kelpie and Huntaway being reasonably popular

Been around for hundreds of years, surprised you've never heard of them ;)

Yeah both the stock recorder and the phone app for farmworks store data, but to manage that data, get reports for really any of the data and generally use the data at farm level (rather than individual), you really need to be on desktop

AgriWebb certainly takes care of all your livestock records on both the individual and group side of things (individual births and treatments have just been added). Allowing for you to run your farm the way you wish. The groups tend to be pretty handy (No EID's required) especially when managing groups of lambs.
It is 100% cloud-based so no need to enter information into the computer, your reports are sitting and waiting for you at the end of the day.
Grazing and Pasture management is certainly a big part of the platform as well.
Our pricing sits at £300/year so it works out to £25/month

Free trials are certainly available - https://register.agriwebb.com/uk/trial
Happy to answer any and all questions.

Do you have/ likely to have support for Te- pari weigh heads?
I think when I last looked in to Agriwebb, te-pari weren't on the list
