Sheep Management Excel

Does anyone use excel to track there sheep performance and breeding?

I only have a handful so cant justify a management program, infact i can almost do it in my head but i just want to have the details tracked somewhere.

just thought id ask before i re invent the wheel.

I have my own excell based database which tracks all sheep and links to their dams and weights allowing me to track any traits I want and monitor performance. It' ever improving but happy to explain or show. It allws you to select for a trait ad then another eg;
Of sheep thst have achives x growth rate
What also had no parasite burden
And of those what raised twins etc etc

I'l try and upload a basic version without my flock in it! The main details are sheep I'd, breed, dam and sire and then grading at different dates etc so 2 grading and scoring a year columsn

Border software do a restricted program for up to 100 sheep for about £100 irc. So you can have all the benefits of a dedicated program without massive cost. Suit small flocks.

it would depend on what info realy needed
if knowing how to make excel realy work it can be used may need to have a few files IE health breeding weights etc to keep it simple
some of the head units on scales could be used for entering data then down loaded and added in to work sheets
