No, you can batch record so long as you can identify them by mark or sex etc.

I write down tag numbers if it was only 1 or 2 required injecting, but today had to inject 10 lambs for the same issue so I just mark them and write down in the book the mark and amount administered etc.

If you are injecting one lame one or treating one for maggots etc then you only need the individual number but if you are vaccinating all your lambs etc or one mob then you can write down 'all lambs' or 'all ewes in group b' etc

Just to be on the safe side, you should paint them with an indelible paste right over the shoulders from one wither to the other. And to be doubly sure, use a different colour right down the back,from neck to tail head. And ideally it will last until clipping time at least.

Not long till clipping time. I suppose it will be at least till withdrawal of product you used is up

If all lambs are tagged soon after birth, you'll know which is in which group for retention periods. If only ewes are tagged, you'll still know which lambs are at foot in which group, so it's reasonably straightforward to keep tabs.

In any case, a sprayed dot serves for longer withholdings, and wax crayon mark for shorter, generally speaking. Different colour for different treatments, to avoid confusion.
