Sheep question

Silly question perhaps but is there any breed which is less likely to produce triplets?

I'm relatively new to lambing and three years ago I bought Belclare ewe lambs , used a Charolais ram ,lovely stock from a well regarded breeder but they are not for newbies, far too many triplets

Is there any particular breed where triplets are quite rare ?

Primitive breeds are less likely to have multiple births but also tend to be wild as f**k and awkward to deal with. Something like a Southdown would probably do you. Theyre fat and lazy and although will occasionally have 3 they haven't been bred to have large litters. They're good sheep for a beginner

Tbh, pretty much every breed will have less triplets than a Belclare won’t it? They are bred to be prolific.
