Did your sheep have Scab? Have you done a blood test?
I bet your sheep have Lice which is why they are still scratching.
No, I checked under a microscope, definitely scab. I treated them for lice initially thinking lice was the problem. Anyway Cydectin should cure the both.

Pour on for lice not injectables.

Did you weigh all ewes?,
The problem is if not then some could be underdosed and some overdosed this is is big contributing factor to resistance.

Also were they kept still whilst injecting as its a bad area to inject and if they move sometimes not all of the product will be injected ?

Hi, i treated my herdie sheep with Spot On first week of September getting them ready for tupping, they've all been tupped now for atleast 2week and they desperately need treat again, was going to dip but circumstances and weather conditions didn't help, what could i safety treat them with now as a few itching, been told it's lice, thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply, I'd be struggling to get someone to come and dip my few sheep as there's only 16 with the tup, just looking for another way of over coming the problem with the weather as bad as it is at the moment, cheers.

Cydectin 2% was recommended by our vets as it treats both scab and lice. One injection of the 2% strength is sufficient. With this, it also works as a "hoover" for worms cleaning the pasture as it kills worms ingested for a longer period.

NO several people have already said it WON'T kill lice you need a pour-on or dip . I f you don't believe then google Cydectin 2% NOAH or Data sheet . If you use Crovect on sheep with a thick fleece to kill lice put it on at the tick rate not the lice rate .
