sheep slats

On a farm that hadn’t had the pleasure of an EA inspection then I suspect?
They got excited about siting of field muck heaps here, in the absence of much else to comment on. Not that there was anything wrong with where I’d sited them, but that didn’t stop them.[emoji35]
As far as I know they were compliant, regular moving seemed to avoid issues. The dung layer after each move was only about 75mm so didn't qualify as a 'heap'

Few doing it , maybe risking it who knows .

I’d just keep my head down and do it personally. You’ve just got to be ready for an officious pen pusher doing an EA inspection, if only to justify what you’re doing.
The potential for runoff or pollution is no greater than that from a muddy feeding site with ring feeders on it.

Exactly @neilo as long as your sensible it’s going to be better for both the environment and the sheep than a mud pit of soil and sh!t. You could even go with the loader and pick up the poo on a dry day after you’ve moved the slats
