This has been sent to me this week.

At approximately 2am on Tuesday 5th January a West Mercia Police patrol was in a pursuit with a VW Passat which ended up in South Staffordshire, Lower Penn. The vehicle had 2 males on board and 4 sheep tied up believed to be stolen. The males were detained.

Apparently the owner of the Texel/ Texel X sheep has been located near Bridgnorth.

Heading back to Wolverhampton. What a surprise? NOT.

My b&b livestock man loses about 20 or more each year, but suspects they cross the border from Worcestershire into Birmingham. Police force collaboration seems to stop at the county line. :(

Unfortunately, it's just the tip of the iceberg. Slap on the wrist and don't do it again probably.
They used to hang such people. While that is going a bit too far, maybe, the scum really should be put away for a good long time and any assets of theirs; all assets of theirs seized and disposed of with the proceeds going to any victims and the rest to lessen this country's debt. Two people in cahoots is 'organised crime' as far as I'm concerned.

police presence in the countryside is a joke, 2 police cars for the rural part of somerset at night. And their is no deterrent with sentencing, it's a joke, the CPS think rural crime is petty, rustling ? that only happened in the USA, give us a crime number, and go away. With brexit, our home office minister, seems to be making the right noises, but if the judiciary won't allow criminals to be deported, in case they are discriminated against, do we actually stand a chance ? Me, i would be a hang and flog them judge ! Definitely a popular view, but illegal !

We contacted the police about this because it’s quite local to us, and offered help and asked questions like were eartags taken down so as to locate sheep?? Where were the sheep now?? Bare in mind quite a few of us have had sheep stolen in the last two years so we’ve been in contact with them on more than one occasion and tried to tell them what will be happening to these sheep, the worth of such stock and the importance of taking down the eartags for location purposes or at least trying to trace them back to somewhere!! But when I rang they’d only taken the individual number and because they didn’t know what to do with the sheep they just dumped them in a field where they knew there were some more!!! Fortunately the tags had a name on an by chance they still related to the keeper of the sheep!! I think they were located by our efforts rather than the police!! Owner was told not to hold his breath as there’s not enough evidence!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

It need not be that these scum are 'poor' by any stretch of the imagination. If they cannot find assets, give them 10 years extra in a covid-ridden jail.

Did I ever mention that I'd make a good judge?
Have you any idea what the cost to the taxpayers of the " ten years extra" would be, though?
My solution would involve the thieves fingers, a decent hedge knife and a tree stump. There and then . No messing about, no endless appeals , no anaesthetic , no problem 😊.

Oh, I would make them pay for their own food, water and heat and there's be a pit in the corner of their earth floored rat infested hovel where they could take a dump. Can't pay? We'll take it away. They wouldn't be allowed out into the sun or their hovel even for a second for the first five years and they would get no clothes or bedding just in case they topped themselves. Any complaint and a finger would be cut off, one at a time. You could get a whole lot more people in prisons if you kept them in a four foot by five foot six cell, with a five foot ceiling.

Do you think I'm being too soft on them? These are the ones who I didn't sentence to hang slowly by their necks of course, after hanging upsidedown by their ankles for two days first to soften them up; the ones who stole a lipstick or a packet of wine gums from a shop.

On a more serious note, thieving scum really should be taken more seriously with some effort made to catch and convict and with way higher sentences imposed. Six months in porridge for a first offence might put a few off offending for a second time. Three strikes and you're out should be the normal with 'out' meaning a real ten years inside to protect decent people from the scum.

unfortunately the 'liberal, it's not their fault' brigade, haven't all died off yet, mainly those of the 60's era, we have to wait for the 'younger' generation, to change the mind set. Tutors in college's etc, are beginning the change, as the 'hippie generation' older college tutors, are retiring on fat pensions !

What???
Two blokes have 4 sheep (that aren't theirs) in the back of a car and there's not enough evidence??? :banghead: :banghead:

The bloke we caught had a sheep pen at the back of a terraced house and a deep freeze full of meat (Plod 'forgot' to take any for evidence) so they let him go too :banghead::banghead:

Our legal system is a joke:mad:
