Sheep trailer make

We have had them for years. My 12 foot hauls two loads of cattle and 2 decks of lambs to abattoir most weeks as well as much work around farm. In fact hardly ever off pick-up. Don't really have a problem with them and I'm sure they are the lightest unladen on market.
I bought a one last year only lasted 3 hours in the yard and turned around and took it straigtback to the dealer.
Floor wasnt riveted down sheep dividing gates were 2" to high so once sheep decks were down you couldnt fit the gates in mud gards were loose. And sides were as flimsy as anything no wounder there are the lightest on the market using paper thin sheets of tin. Thats what put me off them. Dealer took it straight back off me and i drove back out with my old one again

Just taken order of a 14 foot tri axle Gamic sheep trailer and absolutely amazed with it. Build quality is amazing and how everything is designed perfect. Cost was well under 9k and I would have had in March if lock down hadn't occurred, around 5 months waiting time. Priced an Ifor Williams and by the time it was delivered and with everything added to it the cost was only 800 cheaper. My Hudson lasted 8 years but is now falling to bits, but that is still way better than the IWT I had before. You get what you pay for in my opinion.

The aluminium used on it is literally twice as thick as that used on a Hudson or an Ifor.

I'm glad you are pleased but I find it very hard to believe there was only £800 difference.
I would have been getting quotes at a similar time and I would have order a gamic if that was the case, but it was nearer or over £3k difference.

You are maybe better than me at getting discounts but that was the difference, I have no reason to lie, and as a Scotsman I wouldn't be wasting money, although even 3k more would still be worth it compared to an IWT rattle wagon

That's not a power lifting deck, just powered for folding up if I am not mistaken
No it's a deck set that you pull out, wind retract. The sheep are loaded in and the end sloping decks the gate holds the sheep on and then it lifts to horizontal

It's like a fly ramp on a decker as opposed to a full lifting tray like your's

The idea I guess is to maximise occupancy more than a stressfree total loading like your's

For cattle your tray will rob ground floor space marginally

I had a manual GE sheep deck model 10ft x 5ft. I found the decks when folded made the nose weight quite a lot

Thats probably about right then the said 9.5k and up to a 18 month waiting list. Cant see how IFW can cost a trailer at 8.2k cant see where the money is in a one as they are as flimsy as anything.
Ifor was under 8k but not a lot, mentioned discount but didn't even bother going any further as it wasn't going to be thousands and the Gamic is way better and will.last way longer

Swapping like for like? I’ve got a coming up 3 year old nugent 12’ twin axle and I’m thinking of going for a 14’ triple axle. I can’t pull the 12’ twin across fields In the winter so may as well have a 14 for that job.

95% of my movements are within 5 mile though. I get lorries in to do all distance and bulk work.

You had the Nugent that long already o_O

What's your verdict on it?

9k delivered but ordered last year

Very contradictory, first it was well under 9k. And ifor was 800 less. Then it was 9k delivered making ifor 8.2k, but then ifor was under 8k before discount. Sounds like you've just put some figures to make you feel like you've got a lot better trailer for a little more money. It's been mentioned earlier in this thread a new tri axle 14ifor with decks can be bought for 5300. That's 3700 less than your gamic
