Looking for recommendations for a sheepdog trainer, got a young pup that I need to get trained.
Ideally I'd like to send her away to get the basics and we can work on the rest of it here I just don't have the time (or the knowledge tbhšŸ˜‚) to get her started
Based on Somerset/Dorset/ Wiltshire border but happy to travel a bit

I have a similar amount of knowledge (& patience), so sent my last one to Paul Tompkins, who's up by Knighton. He put the sides on and I've brought her on since, and she's turned into my 'go to' dog for most jobs.
Paul's straight as a die and will tell you if she's no good or not ready, whereas plenty will be happy to milk you for every penny.

Might be too far for you though?

I have one dog trained by Katy Cropper and one more recently done by Carol Worgan. Both very good. Obviously ones a lot cheaper than the other.
