Shepherds' Wages

When I handed in my uniform for the last time, I swore I'd never call another man 'Sir' again. Even my love for my wife won't change that.

Clearly presented numbers, with a good business plan and the potential for growth will do ;)
Just say to him its what you want to do and enjoy doing you don't want to be stuck being miserable working for someone for the money and 25k sounds about right for a shepherd depends on location as stated above

Yes, do you think that's too little?

I don't know really, I've never been an employed shepherd. I am surprised it is so much. Vets around here would get a 30 k package with the house, phone and car making up a significant portion of the package (which are of dubious value!)

That little? The milkers on Kemble Dairy get £30k and accommodation for milking 8hrs a day.

The problem in the South East is the value of the house.
It is no problem to rent a 3 bedroom house out for over a thousand a month so if you add in another 12k to the wages then much over 25k with a vehicle is unlikely.
