There seems to be a lot of them about at the moment new on the market. Are they any good. I got my eye on a polish made one. I want it to work stubbles to put turnips in with. We're quite stoney and was wondering will they bounce over themy instead of ripping them up like our lemkin korat, also do you think the packer will block easy .all advice please

I got a proforge inverta and it's a brilliant machine.use it to cultivate stubbles and regularly run it over ploughed land prior to combi drilling too.takes a bit of setting up to get the result you want but does a great job.needs a bit of power as it needs speed to work well

A friend of mine has just bought the bullock tillage trailed machine 5 m and I had a good look round it the other day. I was very impressed tbh looks well built good distance between elements and wheels fairly central . My only criticism would possibly be the packer seemed a bit light but a very nice looking machine.
And a fraction of the cost of the two big red brands.

Thanks nick . What sort of packer you got. Like one on a power harrow or a rubber ringed one. How much hp you got for what size
Use a 7710 deere on mine and can go as fast as i want on stubble 2/3inches deep.on ploughed land it really saps the power but i can still do 7/8 mph.tried it on my 6620 but it just lacks the torque and hp.got the steel packer on mine.lots of adjustment on that but i usually set it to carru all the weight and control the depth on tractor linkage.think jr kirby sells the rolmako which is exactly the same as the proforge apart from the colour and the price.i think they are better than the carriers and all the expensive versions.

Weaving machinery 3m mounted shortdisc will do 6.5acres an hour on 100hp at 8mph. If you go much faster these machines can bounce on the rubber shock mounts and will leave waves.

Looking at importing a new mounted 6m one at the minute. New price is around £9250 + vat + delivery. That gets two rows of discs, rear rubber (DD like) roller which is hydraulically adjustable, maintenance free hubs all round, lights, scrapers and obviously hydraulic folding. The only thing putting me off is I'm not sure it can run shallow enough due to possibly lacking some refinement which is expected due to the price!
