We have a really nice, simple set of discs from AMJ agro in Poland.

Before we purchased we demoed a Horsch Joker, Weaving Short Disc and Vaderstadt Carrier. The Carrier was superior but far too expensive. On hard dry stubblesthe Weaving Short Disc performed better than the other machines. I liked the rear packer on the Weaving and in the end that's what we purchased. It does "bounce" at times and I've wondered if being a mounted machine doesn't help. For what it cost it was a good buy. The Proforge machines look similar and if I was buying again I'd go for a trailed version. Our Massey 6480 struggled to lift our 4m Weaving if discs and packer were blocked with soil. You'd need a big tractor for a 6m mounted!

Do you find the 4m short disc leaves a slight trough on one side just looked at mine and noticed two smaller discs on outside of back row should one of these be on the front ?

Would 165hp pull a 5m mounted short disc? Not going deep, just to get a chit. Not heavy ground but some steepish hills. Would have prefered a 4m, but there is a 5m set coming up locally. Thought if price was right might be worth a go.

Cheers, joe.

We pulled a 5m set of Vogel-noot behind 150 Zetor 150hd. Pulled it but really wanted more to get 10kmh to get short discs working properly.

I’ve got a mounted 5m Tulip multidisc. Pull it with JD 6810, 6910 and 6930. All pull it easily even on very steep banks. Lift capacity and tractor length more important than power IMO.

I recently had a price off Guy for a 4m set, asked home to send me an invoice for a deposit to confirm order and never heard back. However I don’t think they would have come in time for us needing them anyway (this week) especially with the lockdown.
Bought a set of inverta’s from agrilinc instead, came within a week, look well built and doing a decent job chopping covers up.

At the moment they’re on the jd6630 (140hp ish) seems to be handling them no problem. They do look a little heavy on the back but we’ve not got the big weight block on just a set of weights, probably doing 12kph ish.
ps, they’ll probably go on the 6215R for the bulk of the work, I want to fit a tool bar to the back and use my front hopper for establishing cover crops.

Didn't have any problems at all with Guy
All done through this forum by PM
Pleased with it and tbh the prices on other machines were not viable on my arable acres
The price was right and delivered on time
No complaints here

No problem, I know you where in France when we spoke last, however as I said I don’t think you would have been able to get them here in time anyway. But thanks for taking the time to give us a quota, hopefully next time we’ll be able to do a deal ?
Thanks again.
