Short disc mounted air seeder.

Working my way through this little project.
3 m trailed short disc with full width tyre packer. Up and over rear linkage.

Onto this I have an electric fan seeder with accord metering unit.

Current head scratching is...

1- Best position for seed spreader plates. Grass seed can go on the surface after the machine but stewardship mixes with any amount of cereal grain ought to go down above the last row of discs I think.
Moveable seeder rail or use the linkage to move seeding zone?
Any opinions please.

2- any simple metering wheel drive solution.
Could run off the packer wheels or independent metering wheel out behind the machine. Drive cable might give more flexibility than telescopic drive shaft possibly?

Thanks.

Pictures might help. I’d be putting grass seed in front of tyre packer personally and grain can go deeper as you say. Suggest moveable spreader plates and leave metering unit stationary with platform for filling etc.
if standard accord metering might be worth looking at rds system for driving rather than the bother of extending land wheel but I’m not sure on cost. Can use gps, tractor signal or radar for speed measurement. Others will have better idea of cost

Thanks.
Think I’m going for a bar holding spreader plates and hoses mounted on a pivot between packer roller and last gang of discs.
Should be able to alter angle of broadcast easily enough without bending/stressing/stretching hoses too much. Even new hoses will go brittle one of these days!
