A family of 5 gets around 1700 a month just on benefits if they play the system!!
....no too much incentive to go out to work 😣😣
Yup the only chore is to rock up in the Post office once a week and give it "all of it please"

Then down the line, there is the Pension Credits.... Mrs & Mr Thumb up their bum will qualify for this that and the other free whilst the silly f**ker who has grafted wont.,

If I was a youngster without a privileged background I'd be hopping mad right now and in no way inclined to put anything into a system that would have me work all my life to repay covid debt taken on so older people could sit at home in safety while I had to work through it at the supermarket getting abuse. Add to that house prices, state of the NHS, state of the planet in general and to top it off N.I. contributions going up when I would probably never be able to afford to retire.
It's a sad situation when the hopes and aspirations of our youngsters have been all but extinguished. Don't know if I can really blame the ones who think "F*** this."

At least those that want to work in the UK can. I think many young people here would love to swap places with those in the UK if that were possible.

Here there is almost no work available for a young person and when they get a job the national insurance and tax is considerably higher than in the UK.

For most there is simply almost no work here except self employment in agriculture or forestry or for the lucky few getting into the civil service. The rest leave, leaving behind a rapidly ageing population.

What's the breakdown of.that?

Can a family of 5 live on 1700 a month?

Course they can... The Dog of a cool breed inbreeding pups for sale on Gumtree will supplement that.. and eat better meat than young Chantel Lexus Tupac Diddy and Ronaldo Sancho does.

Off the radar and left alone..

Daughters boyfriend broke his shoulder June , had to have it rebroken and screwed in september, work kept his job untill Christmas, high workload so they got someone else to fill in . Said he could start back in June. He's climbing the walls , signed off physio fit so went to pole emploi last monday. Interview on Wednesday, Starts work over minimum wage this Monday.
Daughter has got work all holidays, offered full time from after she finishes BAC, told them she's going onto Formation. Offered provisional full time job from June 23!
All their friends work. But I'm sure they'd be better delivering Uber eats in the uk! Not!
