Could we face shortages on some chems that would be worth purchasing now? Would the chem supplier be doing this to ensure supply or should we pre empt this? What would be the most likely products to fall short?

Not because if Brexit but epoxi is short and will be hard to get

Some animal medicines are in short supply and have been for a few months now. The situation being made worse now by advance purchasing to beat the end of March deadline, which of course may not happen.

Ivermectins are especially short and Crovect (Cypermethrin) is also difficult to get.

I know of farmers stock piling slug pellets.we all need to put our foot down and not get bullied by agronomists to spray every five minutes.i find it very interesting that various contributors on here often don’t bother to spray for what a lot of us get told to do by agronomists.they are probably on bonuses to sell extra chemicals aswell

The most important thing is will the input actually pay for itself.

Imagine if every farmer cut down on inputs, took less product to market more profitably and prices also increased due to less production.

Government would not like that but farmers would.

Interestingly quite a few vet meds are out of stock on TFF Farm Marketplace

We have had vets buying bulk stock from there the last couple of months so what do there know that we don’t .........

I think they have the same information as the rest of us but have chosen to apply logic to their business decisions rather than blind religious faith

imo

I heard someone yesterday mention after brexit that wheat could be £50 a ton.apoarently was seen on tv.hopefully this won’t happen but if it does we are all doomed.the uk farms would all be left fallow and we would all become park keepers.bit scary but no smoke without fire, and all that.

Best not stockpile cattle feed then as it may be cheap
