Should AHDB charge a levy on imported grain?

If Red tractor was done away with, what practical changes would you make? Would you stop having your sprayer or spinner calibrated? Would you stop mapping where your baiting points are? Would you still have soil sampling done? I don’t find there is much in the red tractor assessment that is stuff I wouldn’t already do, or at least ought to be doing anyway as a relatively professional business

I would continue to have sprayer mot’d, and spreader calibrated as necessary soil sampling done etc. As you say a professional business does this anyway so why should I pay protection money to have someone come and check up on me? It’s not necessary.

Is it possible to find out exactly what Ukrainian farmers have to do for their so called assurance?
Then at least we'd have a starting point to work from. We may be pleasantly surprised to find out they do absolutely nothing. Just would be good to know.
