Why on earth would they? As a successful construction and off road machine leader, do they really want to enter an already overcrowded market place which is in fact contracting? Look at what is happening in the distribution network to see the rapid change. A more possible scenario is that JCB sell off their Fastrac business to someone maybe on a badge engineering basis ??? I wonder how much Ag’ contributes to JCB global business?

Agre. I would think it would be suicide for a company like JCB to get involved in a semi mass market product like general Ag Tractors. They are seen as a big company in the UK, but globally are a small player but with a good niche markets in a number of sectors. Surely it must be best to stay that way and look for new small sectors to exploit.

Number 3 globally is not a small player.

I bought one of the last 2155’s and I cant see it leaving this farm for a long time.
The 4000 series is far too highly specked for what I want.
The beauty of the 2000 series is its simplicity, speed and comfort.
I wish all manufacturers would offer these types of tractor.
Why should I pay for spec I just don’t need and will never pay for itself?

The 2000 series has a proper gearbox, not a vario.
I’ve been hauling wheat all week to a local mill, which involves going up some long, reasonably steep hills and particularly bad, right from the bottom to the top of Chipping Norton.
My 2155 has been chipped to about 215 HP and is pulling a 16 ton+ load of wheat.
There is a firm round here using 4220’s to pull wood chip using the same route. Not sure what their loads weigh, but I’ve met them coming the other way up one of the hills by a village called Little Compton on the A44 and I’d swear I get up it much faster!

I do not want a vario gearbox! For road work, if they are that good, why aren’t all trucks fitted with them?

Looooong time ago drove 3185 and 2150, a 2000 sized machine with 215 ponie must nearly fly!

what they need to build is a 120 hp 7610 ford like tractor with a simple gearbox with clutchless reverser ,air con ,forward opening doors like old renaults ,for the stockmens loader tractor ,and run around jobs ,
And yes build some premium tractors why not , valtra air suspension ,front axle , jd 8.1 ltr engine , fendt vario ,or jd power quad box , claas / renault cab ,greenstar guidance , old mf 3000 auto tronic for hydraulics ,still one of best with switch up and down ,and the dial for tweeking when ploughing .

Agree Mf depth adjustment is great, compared to the 412 and 716 fendt we have which are utter stroke, pain in the ass putting the slurry pump in through the safety slat hole when using the fendt, far finer adjustments can be made with the Massey
