In ESA years ago and was stipulated for cattle to graze the hill in the middle of which was a large bog, their grazing helps the biodiversity . If no danger of them getting stuck go for it. Big tick ✅ from environmentalists into the bargain.

that would be my only concern, would they sink and get stuck? I would be happy to try to lift out a stuck cow with the tractor, not so sure I would want to try to pull out a sheep by hand! And I would definitely be a little unsure about a stuck horse.
You got to pull a horse out if it's stuck by its front feet cows you can do round the neck but be careful you can pull there neck out

If it's wet now it's a lake not a bog
It’s surprising how wet some wet areas still are. We tried ditching here last week and about 50m from the end 14 tonner broke through well over its tracks, we know fortunately that there’s clay lower down so weren’t too concerned but this is just a wettish, covered in rushes area that is grazed all year around and quad bike will travel even in winter. All land drains are still running here, been around them this week and was very surprised.

We've never tried that but we mainly pull out of dicthes or renhyes another thing cows will work out where the wet spots are and avoid them
I remember as a teenager getting a sweating from my grandfather for getting the tractor stuck whilst topping. As he pointed out the worn pad round the rushes his exact words were "even the cows have the brains to go round the wet bits!"

You will have to go to Today at Work to see the multinational effort involving diggers, tunnellers, mobile cranes and helicopter.

OK maybe a wee exaggeration
