I didn’t make it this year. The main thing I liked at the site in Newark and then Peterborough, was the marquees and halls that had all the bits and pieces and small associated things. A friend who went this year said very little of that was there. Is this right?

I saw lots of the smaller stands but nothing like the number that used to be at Newark.

Lots of the smaller guys were there but rather than all together in a tent they were around the whole show filling between the bigger stands.

Very true plus the layout was far better in those tents, you could walk down the aisle one side, back up the other and you would have passed everything, nothing hidden away behind big stands.

Like yourself I kind of just glanced over it on the way past, was a pretty cool looking thing though. Probably should have looked a little closer but had a lot to see.
Check out reply 80 on the models cause offence thread in the agricultural matters section. Don't know how to move a picture. This was one of the highlights of the show for me and I don't even have any interest in grain driers. Maybe someone could put the picture up here

@grass man @Phil P yes it does work, all controlled by the touch screen just as the real ones do, the difference being the touch screen is not on the machine (just a mock up one) but on the stand in front.
It doesn't have a burner so couldn't actually dry grain but everything else works as it should. The other difference is that the are a couple of perspex panels in the side so you can see the internals working. Not bad for a 1/8th scale model.

Yes I spotted it yesterday and was going to try and copy it over to here, thanks @JP1

It’s proper nice thing, my little fella would love to get his hands on it, would be just the right size for his tractors and trailers:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Make sure it's big enough for his future carpet farming business , no doubt there will be a NH 1150 or a Claas 800 coming along soon and of course he will need one

Don't know if anyone else noticed the push off buckrake on the strimech stand and the almost identical model on the Albert stand! One looked slightly heavier than the other, one was much better finished than the other. Another thing that caught my eye was a very small mobil grain drier, not sure if it was a model or a very small machine for specialist crops and had no time to stop and chat on stand. It was very impresive

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery......
