Not the best picture, and apparently you're meant to take the injector pipes off, but you can just see what way round the pistons should be.

As my local DB guru told me, put the pistons in with the mickey mouse ears to the pushrods.

While you have it split, fit a new core plug in the back of the block, it's easy to do now, can't be done without splitting.

I’m just after taking the rocker of and realised that the man honing our pistons put them in backwards. Would anyone have advice for taking pistons out and turning them around

I have not worked on a DB so do not know what's involved in removing the sump, but you will need to remove the sump then undo the big ends and push the piston up the bore and remove the pistons and con rods,
Also check the con rods are fitted correctly to the pistons.
And check you have no bent pushrods or valves.

Also, did this person fit new piston rings and what condition are the pistons/ring grooves in? Bit pointless just honing the bores without at least replacing the rings too.

If your pistons are OK and new rings were fitted then you should be able to undo the bid end bolts and remove the bearing caps and then turn the piston.
The big ends are individually stamped in pairs and must be kept so

Make sure the bearing caps are put back the correct way. If I remember correctly the numbers go to the same side. If you put them on the wrong way the bearings can spin.

If you haven't had the clutch apart it should go back together relatively easily plus with the covers off you can see more. Roll the engine back towards the back end ( you've got a trolley jack underneath) and line the shaft into the clutch, may need to turn shaft to align the splines.
DO NOT use excessive force or you may damage the clutch plates

Assuming you have chocked the rear wheels firmly, roll it gently forward on the trolley jack, if you find it's blocking on the clutch slightly put PTO in low gear and turn the PTO shaft with grips or stillsons to help align the splines, you may also need to turn the gear boxor flywheel a little to align those splines to the clutch plate as well.

Some people use lengths of threaded through the bottom bolt holes to put a little tension on to help align the splines, but don't force the issue too much or you can warp a clutch plate if not careful. If as I suspect you haven't had the clutch apart, the clutch plates will still be centralised which is a great help.
