Showers and toilets for temporary campsites

Having camped out a few times when biking.
HOT showers are a must, easiest way is LPG I guess, seen more than one big bottle. If you use electric showers, then you need a bigger amperage (and cost)
If only summertime use, and maybe if there are only a few visitors solar thermal can work...?
Loos are best dealt with using a treatment plant OR a big tank and pump out and take to local treatment works. The latter will be cheaper in the short term.
Some of the mobile "welfare units" might be worth a look, as it avoids a lot of the wiring and plumbing difficulties as well as not needing PP etc?

Sewage- into big tank and pay someone to suck it up and take it away to treatment works.
Once your campsite is up and running you can sort more permeant affairs. Good luck with it.

We would definitely recommend having hot water showers available to achieve the best reviews.
Moveable structures on wheels or skids in connection with the use of the site, such as portable toilets, benefit from the 56-day permitted development rights. However, any day when such a temporary structure remains on site counts as one of the number of days permitted.

most dunnie hire firms will have a portaloo cabin modded to be a shower unit.
Same size as a thunderbox but have a gas fired mains pressure shower installed , drain can be soakaway or other vessels.
easy as pie.
We had 4 of them on our site last summer one for each bell tent..
Trailerised shower and dunnie units were not allowed as the facilities had to be for individual tents. The covid rules may be relaxed by the time your guests rock up so you could go for a trailerised solution..

We invested in two shower shacks last year for our new pop-up campsite. Campers love them, nice and warm, look great and are a nice/different/alfresco experience for showering. I think demand and price has now rocketed but simple to build yourself if you wanted to.
Used portaloos for toilets because they were cheap last summer, easy to COVID clean and we didn’t have to worry about emptying as the hire company did this regularly. Still looking for nicer alternatives for this year, I don’t like compost loos.
Good clean facilities definitely lead to good reviews and a successful site.
