99 heavy chopped bales off 15 acres, today, that's definitely helping the fodder stocks, mixture of rye grass, red clover, spring barley, and fat hen. Baler man, reckons about 1100kg a bale, I hope he's right ! Next lot 2 weeks away !

1100kgs?? What sort of bale?
tightly chopped McHale, all knives in, grass pretty dry, heaviest we have had is 1250 kg, makes big bale silaging a lot more economic. When using, the weight, is on the keenan display. Always think seems heavy, but that equates to seven and a quarter ton grass/acre, which is pretty well spot on, what we would expect of a new ley, first cut.

We held off as the weather was meant to be patchy, turns out it’s fine and very small chances of a shower. Oh well, will get 2nd cut started Monday morning. Probably a week to 10 days late
