Are many of you using them and if so, how long have you had them? Do they perish with age like tyres?

We have the mats/clamp tiles from Kelvin cave, four years old and some now splitting in half, not very impressed.

We use old conveyer belts out of a local stone quarry on one clamp. They are very efficient and massively unpleasant to handle.

I’ve got stacks of old conveyor belts which were in the cubicles. Very effective as a clamp cover and agree very hard to handle. Anyone wanting some, they’re available for a small fee.

Yes. Not ideal as they were too hard and slippery when wet. Changed to deep sand for cows, heifer cubicles are astroturf now.

Got a row of cubicles here need sorting out
Tempted to rip them out and make a steepish slope so the younger beasts lie uphill

Had mats but switched to truck sidewalls now, much easier to handle

Had silage mats the ones with holes in they were to larg to handle on your own so cut them in half great instead of tyres keep a few now when croping still come in handy for all sorts . This autumn baught bulk fert used when sheeting it up . They are years old a few cracks in them but still nothing to bother about

I like the fact that the mats have holes in them, which make them easy to handle and a bit lighter too
