Now your just showing off having grass to waste
No. Wouldn't mind 7 days of sun and heat 1st. Will get a fresh sample done for nitrates next Thursday, if results Friday are good, then we shall hack it down.@Beef farmer you on cutting yet?
Running back through Derbyshire on the bike North of Leek this afternoon, and I saw someone windrowing grass! Bugger all there from a brief glimpse as I tootled past, but there you go. Zero grazing for fodder??
Chicken muck on silage ground? Braver than meI'm about to put chicken muck on silage ground tomorrow so won't be cutting for a month or so!
Have you noticed how green everything has gone in a couple days why need fert as well as slurry !Like you said.A few dairy farmers are just putting fert on around here today on ground that has had 2/3x lots of slurry over the winter, grass is nearly a foot tall in some of these fields, they would be better off cutting it and starting again imo.
