Hopefully the scottish government will follow suit, need something similar, fertiliser, fuel, plastic, machinery cost to just fix not buy are crazy really. Can't go on. I, ll be seeing about getn 100 acre in trees if its 5 or 6 grand for upland ground in the central belt. Per acre. Only have a daughter, not intreasted, so just myself playing away at it, different if a teenage son.
Treeplanting will be stopped

Can't see how that sub will help. As said before it will end up straight in the manufacturer pocket. Same with people asking for fertiliser sub. The end user has to pay - anything else is just market distortion. We need to go through this painful time to set the market for our produce right. Sooner we get it done with the better.

Man is in the water, needs a lifebelt NOW
By the time the consumer wakes up he will have drowned
Handwringing and flowers wont bring him back
I hear what are saying and I don't like paying these prices any more than the next man. Inevitably I will spread less fert, buy less plastic and probably have less stock. Everything I buy is costing more - it can't all be subsidised. Someone down the line either has to pay more or not get. I have no idea how that is going to go but something has to change

Something need's doing but putting money into the pocket's of big oil companies who are already reporting profit's 3times bigger than this time last year doesn't seem like a fix to me. A lot of consumer's are feeling the pinch as well

Systems need to change. Current yield chasing high input high output is broken.
