Funny years ago when we direct cut we used to have a lot of 'gyper' coming out of the silage pit. No we wilt for a bit I don't think I've ever seen any. I suppose the tanks are some EA requirement though?

@Fergieman ,are the insides of the tank coated with any thing to stop the effluent eating the concrete away ? Years ago a local farm used to pump effluent into a concrete tank for the cows to drink and it soon started to etch the concrete badly.

Build it 10 foot longer than you need, a lot of peoples silos round here are 10 foot too short when they’re filled [emoji6]
