Maybe not a common thing in the UK but thinking it might be a cheap way for a bit of extra space to save having to make so many bales. Anyone have one? just wondering how much you can actually get on to one.

well i currently use all bales but if the neighbours farm comes for sale i will not be making thousands of them and spending all summer stacking them!!
will be putting in a pit in a few years id say or maybe just a slab as you say
much cheaper with just a slab if you have plenty space and dont go to high

Slabs work ok ,you can roll right over it and that is the best way to do it with no waste, but it takes a bigger area to put the same tons in a pit , maybe 20% more room to put the same tonnage in
